In the recent years we have organised a wide range of digital events for College Members and Friends. While we enjoy seeing you in College for our usual activities, it has been great to see so many of you join us virtually from the comfort of your own homes.

We regret that due to the different time zones not all of you have been able to attend the events live. With this in mind we aim to record all of these events to give you the opportunity of watching them in your own time.

All of the digital events that have taken place so far can be viewed in the list below, should you wish to catch up with events that you've missed or wish to watch them again.

2024 Rylands Art Prizes awarded

Teddy Graham has been awarded first prize for his work 'Surrogate', with second prize going to Em Dirs and a joint third for Eden Hogston and John Palmer.

New sculpture celebrates the legacy of Alan Turing

A new work by Sir Antony Gormley has been officially unveiled at King’s College Cambridge. The sculpture, titled 'True, for Alan Turing', stands 3.7 meters tall and sits at the heart of the College, between Gibbs Building and Webb’s Court.

With #EasterTerm now started, we welcome a new series of 'Thursday Lates' organised by the College Chaplain: HeartSpace, Compline and Creative Vespers are three different ways for students to enjoy some time in the College Chapel after a busy day. We are thrilled to hear 12 #gatescambridge Scholars will be joining the King's community in Michaelmas term. It will be the largest cohort ever! Congratulations to all, we can't wait to meet you. 💜 Following the announcement, King's Fellow (and Gates Scholar 2005) Kamiar Mohaddes told us "One of the highlights of the year for me is to interview Gates Cambridge candidates, and I am thrilled to see that 12 out of the 75 new scholars will be joining us at King's this year, absolutely wonderful to see our Gates-King's Family growing bigger and bigger." 📢 TFC 2024 'we're halfway there' UPDATE Thank you to all alumni who've already picked up the phone to discuss College life and hear about our current priorities! Minnie has really enjoyed speaking to King's members with such a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. "There's been a few alumni who have told me about how they've ended up in a career completely different to what they had imagined whilst studying their degree. It's made me realise that there's no point in having a strict plan for life after university as it's important to be open to all of the opportunities that being a Cambridge graduate provides. I signed up to the Campaign because I wanted to challenge myself. I've always struggled with phone calls, but the Campaign has shown me that it is not as daunting as it seems, and it is possible to have a meaningful conversation over the phone with someone you've never met before. I was also interested to hear where Cambridge has taken other alumni.
