In the academic year 2024-2025 EFG is supporting six postgraduate students on one-year courses from underrepresented groups. Preference is given to those, ideally with an entrepreneurial mindset, studying subjects that may pave the way towards a career in the financial industry.
Sweta Jenekar is one of this year’s EFG scholars. An architect, sustainability advocate, and social entrepreneur from India, Sweta is currently pursuing an MBA at Cambridge Judge Business School with a focus on Strategy and Finance. As the founder of the Eco-Habitat Foundation, she has led impactful initiatives such as EcoSustain™ audits and urban Green Funds, significantly reducing carbon footprints and enhancing green spaces. She is committed to advancing climate action and sustainable development through innovative and scalable solutions. Her participation in the King's Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab) programme reflects her dedication to entrepreneurial leadership that aligns with EFG's mission of fostering responsible innovation.
Kamiar Mohaddes, Fellow in Economics at King’s and co-founder of the King’s E-Lab, says:
“At King's College, the Cambridge Judge Business School, and the wider Collegiate Cambridge, we leverage the power of academia for real-world impact, and our Masters students are a key to this. After graduating from Cambridge they go out into the world to solve the challenges society and businesses are facing today and will face tomorrow, including climate change, inequality, and access to education. We are therefore thrilled to collaborate with EFG on this initiative, as it reflects our shared commitment to fostering innovation and empowering young entrepreneurial talent."
