Forster and King’s: Residence and Reciprocity with Peter Jones, Fellow Librarian

Speaker: Peter Jones

E.M.Forster (1879-1970) lived in King’s as a young man and an octogenarian, a budding novelist and a Grand Old Man of English letters. This talk will explore different facets of Forster’s relationship with King’s, from undergraduate friendships to his famous tea parties on A staircase. He acknowledged his great debt to King’s and repaid it in many different ways, material and moral.

This event is presented by Fellow Librarian, Mr Peter Jones and chaired by College Archivist, Dr Patricia McGuire.
