Group Bookings

Groups and Guided Tours will be welcome to visit from July 19th.

King’s College welcomes groups to visit when the College is open. The College is private property and home to a community of students, and the Chapel is also a place of Christian worship. It is a popular venue for organised groups and it is therefore a requirement that your group has been pre booked and paid for in advance. Please read through the following information before booking your visit.

Guided Tours

Guided Tours are offered in partnership with certified Cambridge City Blue Badge Guides.  To check when these are operating, and to book a tour, please take a look at the Visit Cambridge website.

Tour Guides must ensure the group has been pre booked in advance.  We regret that we will not be offering discounted group rates nor operating a payment voucher scheme this year.  To book tickets for your tour group, please click here.  Please note that all visitors participating in a guided tour, must have a fee paying ticket.  Membership cards that would normally entitle a visitor to a free self guided visit are not valid when participating in a guided tour.

Tour groups should not exceed 15 in numbers.  Tour groups that have not pre booked, will not be admitted.

Cambridgeshire LEA Schools

Cambridgeshire LEA Schools are welcome to visit King’s College free of charge. Please contact us for more information.

Language and Summer Schools

From the 19th July, groups will be welcome to visit the Chapel and Grounds once again.  All visits must be pre booked and paid for in advance.  We will not be operating a reservation or pay on account facility.  To book your places, click here.  There is a maximum of 30 people per group allowed.  We regret that there will be no discounted group rates this summer.

Group visits are available during normal opening hours – please consult our Opening Times for up-to-date information. Please note that King's College is a working College and Chapel and therefore closures and restrictions may impact group bookings at short notice.

We recommend 45 minutes to 1 hour to visit King’s College Chapel and grounds. There are no public toilet or refreshment facilities available within the College.  Group leaders MUST NOT leave the Chapel or grounds whilst members of their group remain inside.  Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a group leader at all times.

King’s College does not offer guided tours for groups. Groups wishing to have a guided tour should contact Visit Cambridge.

Please get in touch if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
