Group Bookings

King’s College welcomes groups to visit when the College is open. The College is private property and home to a community of students, and the Chapel is also a place of Christian worship. It is a popular venue for organised groups and it is therefore required that you book your group in formally. Please read through the following information before booking your visit.

How to Book

Cambridgeshire LEA Schools

Cambridgeshire LEA Schools are welcome to visit King’s College free of charge. Please contact us for more information.

Language and Summer Schools

Please read the Booking Information for Language Schools document at the bottom of this page before making your booking.

Bookings must be requested at least one week in advance (two weeks in advance during July and August) using the online booking form. We consider groups to be any group of 10 people or more.

Group visits are available during normal opening hours – please consult our Opening Times for up-to-date information. In July and August groups visits are available between 10.30am and 2.30pm only. Please note that King's College is a working College and Chapel and therefore closures and restrictions may impact group bookings at short notice.

We recommend 45 minutes to 1 hour to visit King’s College Chapel and grounds. There are no public toilet or refreshment facilities available within the College.

King’s College does not offer guided tours for groups. Groups wishing to have a guided tour should contact Visit Cambridge.

The entry point for your group into the College will be detailed on your booking confirmation. Please note the staff there may split your group up if it exceeds 50 in number. When visiting the Chapel with school groups or students please ensure there are sufficient leaders to accompany them at all times.

We will make every effort to ensure that you and your group enjoy your visit. Please be aware that groups who have not booked will not be admitted to the College. If you attempt to enter the College without pre-booking, splitting your groups into smaller numbers to circumvent the system, your organisation will be banned from booking any further visits.

Please get in touch if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
