Cambridge After Rome

Speaker: Dr Caroline Goodson

Hybrid Event Recorded on 18th March 2022

Last autumn an archaeological dig at the site of new King’s graduate accommodation at Croft Gardens revealed an extensive early medieval burial ground, shedding new light on life and death in Cambridge from the end of the Roman period.

The findings from the burials were unusual in their extent and preservation and offer a remarkable opportunity to increase our understanding of a transformative period in history.

This is a chance to hear about the finds from Dr Caroline Goodson (KC 2018), Fellow and University Senior Lecturer in Early Medieval History.
