
Our warm congratulations to the four King's alumni who have been recognised in the 2021 New Year Honours:
Alumnus Saul Walker (KC 1989) has been awarded an OBE for services to International Development. Saul is currently the Deputy Director of Covid-19 Vaccines, Therapeutics and Diagnostics at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), having previously been the Senior DFID Lead for the response to the Ebola virus.
Alumna Emmi Poteliakhoff (KC 1999) has been awarded an MBE for services to the NHS, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. Emmi is the Provider Policy Director for NHS England and NHS Improvement.
Alumna Joanne Caddy (KC 2002) has also been awarded an MBE, for services to National Security. Joanne is currently Team Leader at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
Alumnus Julian Anderson (KC 1992) has been awarded a CBE for services to Music. Julian is a composer and Professor of Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
