New Year Honours for King's alumni

Our warm congratulations to the King's alumni who have been recognised in the 2023 New Year Honours:

Alumnus Peter Kellner (KC 1966) has been awarded a CBE for Charitable Services. Peter is a political analyst and lately Chair of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. 

Alumna Frances Morris (KC 1978), Director of the Tate Modern, has been awarded a CBE for services to the Arts.

Senior Palaeontologist at the Natural History Museum, Professor Richard Fortey (KC 1965), has been appointed an OBE for services to Palaeontology and Geology.

Alumna Janet Thurgood (KC 1976) has been awarded an MBE for services to People with Learning Disabilities. Janet was lately the Corporate Director for Adult Social Care for Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council.
