Very early in the morning we caught up with part of the team working with Research Fellow Cicely Marshall on the biodiversity survey of the wildflower meadow.
Rhona, Duncan, Charlie, Sharon and Edward were standing around a moth trap identifying the various species that can be found in the meadow this summer.
Today’s ‘lucky dip’ produced (among others) some Straw Moths, a few Common Rustic, a Yellow Underwing and a great example (especially for those who’d never seen one before!) of a Marbled Beauty.
