📢 TFC 2024 'we're halfway there' UPDATE Thank you to all alumni who've already picked up the phone to discuss College life and hear about our current priorities! Minnie has really enjoyed speaking to King's members with such a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. "There's been a few alumni who have told me about how they've ended up in a career completely different to what they had imagined whilst studying their degree. It's made me realise that there's no point in having a strict plan for life after university as it's important to be open to all of the opportunities that being a Cambridge graduate provides. I signed up to the Campaign because I wanted to challenge myself. I've always struggled with phone calls, but the Campaign has shown me that it is not as daunting as it seems, and it is possible to have a meaningful conversation over the phone with someone you've never met before. I was also interested to hear where Cambridge has taken other alumni. 📢 TFC 2024 UPDATE Hi, I'm Natalie, and I'm a final year undergraduate at King's studying Geography. It has been an amazing start to the telephone campaign so far, with so many people answering the phone and taking the time to talk to us. I've heard so many great stories from alumni so far, entailing people's experiences at King's, and their involvement with societies, activism and shaping the college to be the welcoming space it is today. As a soon-to-be graduate myself, I have received some really valuable advice from alumni before I take the huge step of starting my career. It can feel daunting at times, but I've had so much reassurance from the people I've spoken to which is really appreciated. I participated in the telephone campaign in my first year, and after having such a positive experience I decided to return as a caller this year too. This year's priority projects are vital in making sure there is a safety net for students at King's, and every donation received helps keep the College accessible to students from all walks of life. I'd like to personally thank everyone who has donated so far, I can assure you that those donations mean so much to the current, and future student body.
