The Entrepreneurship Lab

How do you evaluate an entrepreneurial opportunity? What does it take to flesh out your idea and refine it, and to assess the competitive landscape? How do you acquire the right technological, human and financial resources to make your concept a reality?

Open to all continuing King’s students, the Entrepreneurship Lab is designed to provide you with answers to these questions, and to enable you to develop the crucial skills of creativity, pragmatism, communication, and co-ordination. With an emphasis on developing sustainable and ethical projects with a positive social and environmental impact, the Lab consists of a week-long residential training programme prior to the start of Michaelmas Term, during which you’ll get a chance to toy with entrepreneurial ideas as an individual and as part of a group, and develop an understanding of the initial steps of an entrepreneurial venture. This will be followed by a series of events, workshops and talks throughout the year, and culminating in the opportunity to receive seed-funding to take your idea forward.

The programme is open to up to all continuing King's students - both undergraduate and graduate - but you must be able to commit to attending the residential week in person. Accommodation and food during the residential week will be provided at no cost. Have more questions - read our FAQs!
