As we celebrate reaching our £100m King's Campaign target, we're taking a look back at some of the projects which were made possible by your generosity.💜
Michaelmas Term 2023 saw the completion of the much-needed conservation work to the Chapel roof. The entire lead covering was removed, recast and replaced, all while maintaining access to the building for visitors, daily services and concerts. A team of experts from across the UK, skilled in the use of reclaimed materials, worked on the project for over a year.
Next, 219 REC Alpha 420 Pure-R photovoltaic panels were fixed to each of the north and south slopes of the Chapel roof, which now supplies electricity to the Chapel and Gibbs Building via the College’s internal electricity network.

Celebrating John Maynard Keynes (1883 – 1946) on what would have been his 142nd birthday! 🎂
Keynes was one of the most important economists of the twentieth century. The Keynesian School of economics shaped macroeconomic theory and practice, and influenced governmental policy for many decades.
His life was intimately connected to King’s College. He came as an undergraduate in 1902 and was a Fellow from 1909 until his death. The Keynes Building, which bears his name, was built thanks to the generous donation he left to the College in his will.

We're delighted to announce that The King’s Campaign has reached its £100 million goal! 💜The Campaign was launched in 2018 with the aim of allowing the College to attract and enable more of the best students regardless of economic or social background, deliver exceptional teaching and world-class research, and preserve and enhance its historic buildings.
Thanks to the generosity of more than 6,500 King’s alumni, friends and supporters a total of £102 million has now been reached, in the College’s most ambitious fundraising effort in its recent history.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing more about the people and projects who have benefited from the incredible generosity of our donors. For now, head to: external link to learn more

Looking back a week on from a sunny graduation. 🎓
Last Friday, 35 graduands celebrated the end of their graduate studies. Among them were Rebecca (left, now Senior Tutor at @trinitycollegeox) and Katherine (right), both 'Class of 2001', who decided to attend this graduation ceremony together as they had both missed the chance to collect their certificates over 20 years ago!
Congratulations to the new members of our alumni community!
A new exhibition curated by King's Research Fellow Dr Georgia Nasseh opens in London today.
'Glimpses of the Now', which features works by seven artists from Africa and Latin America that highlight the role of collage-making in the Global South, draws upon Georgia's residency at the @universityofpretoria's@javett_up Art Centre.
📍The exhibition takes place between 28–31 May at @fourcornerse2 (121 Roman Road, London E2 0QN).

HUGE congrats to our AMAZING @cambridgeuniversity Executive #MBA students graduating today 🥳 🎉 🥳 , especially the 19 from @kings.college!
This is the largest cohort of King’s #EMBAs ever graduating, and they are the most wonderful people!!! 🎓 It has been a privilege to be a small part of your journey, welcome to the @cambridgejudge and King’s alumni family ❤️
A fun fact: this is probably a record in the University of Cambridge history in terms of the time between the matriculation and graduation photo for a cohort (10 weeks between the two dates!).

With exam term well under way, its important to prioritise well being and reach out when you need help.
This Bank Holiday weekend, make sure to take a break, get outdoors, and perhaps treat yourself to a scoop of King's College lavender gelato from Jack's Gelato. 🍦
