Fine Dining

Since 1441 King's has set the standard in scholarly excellence. With the same dedication to excellence, King’s College Conference & Dining has earned, and maintains, a justified reputation for serving exceptional food in our famously historic College.

Forget any notion of stolid College fare. Our team of inspired chefs have developed a delicious range of menus taking in contemporary cuisine and inventive dishes, as well as menus designed for the season and occasion. Tradition is given a sizzling twist to offer our clients fresh and startling sensory experiences, a sophistication to savour – literally.

At King's, unlike most Cambridge Colleges, there is no distinction between the Fellows' cellar and the wines made available to guests. Great care in the selection of all wines, and frequent tastings to assess maturity and the condition of the wine, help to create the best run and most eclectic cellar in Cambridge.

I would recommend King’s in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a special venue

Saltmarsh Rooms

The Saltmarsh Rooms are a charming hidden treasure located on the first floor of the College giving magnificent views of the Chapel, Front Court and Webb’s Court.

They are three interconnecting rooms that can accommodate groups of up to 28 guests for dinners and drinks, or slightly larger groups if guests are spread over all three rooms. This truly special space makes a sophisticated location for intimate private dinners and drinks receptions.

The location was gorgeous, the food exquisite and service superb

Beves Room

The Beves Room is found in the secluded Webb’s Courtyard, offering a more contemporary surrounding for your event. With floor to ceiling windows, it offers otherwise unseen views of the Provost’s Lodge and Library.

It is a versatile room away from busy College life suitable for both dinners up to 50 guests and drinks receptions for up to 80.

Absolutely fantastic meal and atmosphere! Enjoyed by all

The Hall

The Georgian Gothic Hall was designed by William Wilkins in the 1820's and is considered one of the most magnificent and dramatic dining halls of its era. With an impressive 13.6 metre high ceiling, antique stained glass windows and original oak panelling, it is an extraordinary space for any occasion.

The Hall can seat up to 316 for dinner. Seated at long wooden tables your guests will have plenty of space while enjoying a traditional College dining experience.

To us every event is unique, if you would like your menu to be something a little more personal our Executive Head Chef is always delighted to work with you to develop a truly bespoke meal.

The atmosphere in the Hall was fantastic. Our guests loved the grandeur of the space – it really made our evening special
