Extra Touch

Extra Touch

With 31 beautiful colleges, choosing the right one for your event can be difficult. Whilst your event at King's will be special, here are a few ideas that will make your event really sparkle!

The Chapel

King's College Chapel is one of the most iconic buildings in the world, and is a splendid example of late Gothic (Perpendicular) architecture. It was started in 1446 by Henry VI (1421-71) and took over a century to build. The Chapel is also the venue for the Christmas Eve service, A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, which is broadcast to millions around the world.

Let your guests wander at their leisure and enjoy this spectacular building. If your event is held during term time, you can hear the world famous King’s College Choir sing Evensong at 5.30pm.

Why not choose one of our packages that include complimentary access to the Chapel?

The King's Men and King’s Voices

It’s not often that you get that spine tingling feeling, but these world famous choirs manage to succeed the moment they start to sing. They are truly hypnotising and will give your guests a once in a life time experience that few get to see up front and personal. In the past year, The King's Men (formerly Collegium Regale) have performed alongside high-profile artists such as rapper Dizzee Rascal.

King's Voices, the mixed voice choir of King's College, was founded in October 1997 under the direction of Dr John Butt (Director of Studies for Music at King's, 1997-2001) to give the women of King's the opportunity to contribute vocally to the musical life of the College.

Both the King's Men and King's Voices have a varied repertoire, from fifteenth-century sacred music to folk-songs and pop songs, so they have music for all occasions. They can provide anything from a Latin Grace to a full set.

Please see attached brochures in the download tab at the bottom of the page.
