Book facilities and meeting rooms
Various spaces around the College can be booked using the Rooms Management System. The following rooms are able to be booked:
- Seminar rooms
- Chetwynd Room
- Keynes Hall
- Munby Room
- Supervision rooms
Tennis courts, music practice rooms and other facilities across the College can be booked by visiting the Porters' Lodge.
More information can be found on the intranet.
Register your bike
All bicycles stored in or around King's must be registered so the College can appropriately remove abandoned bicycles and free up space.
Register by visiting the Facilities Management System, clicking 'Add new bike', and entering your bicycle's details.
Once you have registered, make a note of the registration number which is generated and write that number on your bicycle. The best place to write the number is on the frame and you can borrow a marker pen from the Porters' Lodge.
Take a punt out
- Punts are found in the river by the bridge and can be taken out at the Porters' Lodge.
- Punts are normally available from March until November.
- Punts seat a maximum of six and can be taken out only during daylight hours.
- They cannot be pre-booked and there is a small charge per hour.
- Punt poles can be found by Bodley's S staircase and punt cushions can be found inside Bodley's Y staircase.

King's societies
From rowing and politics, to the Entrepreneurship Lab and Music Society, there is a King's society for everyone. Students at King's can help run formals, organise the King's Affair, put on a show or host a charity event. If you can't find a society that suits you, we can help you set one up. To join a society, come along to a freshers fair or email the Sports, Societies and Freshers Officers.

Student governance and representation
The two student bodies of the College, King's College Student Union (KCSU) and King's College Graduate Union (KCGU), contribute to the intellectual, cultural, and social life of the College. Both the KCSU and KCGU have representatives on the committees dealing with the governance of the College, and both are involved in decisions on the allocation of funds between sporting, musical, drama, and other societies. The KCGU website is currently under construction.
