From drinks receptions for up to 500 guests, bespoke corporate events, milestone celebration dinners to exclusive award ceremonies, the Hall makes an ideal location for a whole host of events designed to wow your guests.

The Georgian Gothic Hall was designed by William Wilkins in the 1820's and is considered one of the most magnificent and dramatic dining halls of its era. With an impressive 13.6 metre high ceiling, antique stained glass windows and original oak panelling, it is an extraordinary space for any occasion.

The Hall can seat up to 316 for dinner. Seated at long wooden tables your guests will have plenty of space while enjoying a traditional College dining experience.  

As stunning as the Hall is in its own right, sometimes you need to add a little extra sparkle. Be it a personalised lighting design, elaborate table decorations or the spine tingling King's College choir we are always excited to help create the perfect environment for your event.

The Saltmarsh Rooms are a charming hidden treasure located on the first floor of the College giving magnificent views of the Chapel, Front Court and Webb’s Court.

They are three interconnecting rooms that can accommodate groups of up to 28 guests for dinner and drinks, or slightly larger groups if guests are spread over all three rooms. This truly special space makes a sophisticated location for intimate private dinners and drinks receptions.

The Beves Room is found in the secluded Webb’s Courtyard, offering a more contemporary surrounding for your event. With floor to ceiling windows, it offers otherwise unseen views of the Provost’s Lodge and Library.

It is a versatile room away from busy College life suitable for both dinners up to 50 guests and drinks receptions for up to 80.

Although many Cambridge colleges boast spectacular gardens, views and architecture, few can claim to have a backdrop as iconic as King's College Chapel. We are proud and delighted to be able to offer our Back Lawn for large scale events between July and September.

Stretching out down to the River Cam, the Back Lawn is the perfect space to entertain up to 3,000 guests on a sunny summer evening with the iconic Chapel in the background. Offer your guests the opportunity to not only wander the tranquil grounds and take in the magnificent views, but also walk on the pristine grass that few get to enjoy, especially with a drink in hand.

The outdoor potential at King’s is exciting, and we will work with you to help create a truly one of a kind reception that your guests will remember for years to come. As the lawn is an immaculate and well maintained location, you can rest assured that it will always look beautiful. Should you want to add extra entertainment, we can accommodate anything from garden games to coconut shies.

As we can never guarantee that the sun will shine, for larger events a marquee is required to cater for your group should the weather not be on your side. For dining, numbers that are larger than we can accommodate in our Hall have the potential to be hosted in a marquee. If you are looking to host an event over this number, then do get in touch and we can advise where necessary.
