
Our warm congratulations to the seven College members who have been recognised in this year's King’s Birthday Honours:
Professor Anne Davis (KC 1986) has been awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to higher education and to scientific research. The first woman to be appointed professor in the Faculty of Mathematics at Cambridge, Anne has consistently advocated for better representation for women at all levels of academia, and in 2014 became the University’s Gender Equality Champion for STEM subjects.
Dr Patrick Dixon (KC 1975) has been awarded a MBE for services to HIV and AIDS care. Patrick founded and is a volunteer and ambassador of ACET UK.
Ruth Marvel (KC 1996) has been awarded an OBE for services to young people. Ruth is Chief Executive Officer of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
Dr Michael Norton (KC 1960) has been awarded a CBE for services to social entrepreneurship and philanthropy in the UK and abroad. Michael is the founder of the Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action.
Lady Suzanne Heywood (KC 1990) has been awarded a CBE for services to business leadership.
Tony Kouzarides (KC 1981), Professor of Cancer Biology at Cambridge and Co-Founder of the Milner Therapeutics Institute, has been knighted for services to healthcare innovation and delivery.
Rosanna de Sancha (KC 1986), Senior Paintings Conservator at The Royal Collection Trust, has been awarded a LVO (Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order).
