What's involved?

Calculating Women is a free residential event open to female and non binary students studying in Year 11 UK state schools. The residential is designed to demonstrate the real-world relevance and applications of maths-based skills, and to reveal the diversity of industries and careers to which maths skills and a maths-based degree can underpin.

This two-day, one-night residential will take place from the 15th-16th April 2026 at King's College. Attendees will get a chance to take part in hands-on maths challenges and collaborative problem-solving activities with their peers, alongside teaching sessions given by academics at the College.

To give you an idea of what to expect at this residential, we’ve included an example of last year’s schedule below. Please note that this year’s programme may differ in content or structure, but this should give a general sense of how the event may run.
