Björn Reichhardt is a social anthropologist studying food systems, human-environment relationships, and infrastructural development with a regional focus on Mongolia and Central Asia. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Central Asia Seminar, Institute for Asian and African Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin where he teaches classes on Mongolia, food anthropology, and ethnographic research methods. At the chair for History and Cultures of Central Asia, he oversees academic activities related to Mongolia and the Mongolian cultural region.
