King’s College, Cambridge looks forward to welcoming King's Legators to the King Henry VI Circle Lunch on Saturday, 16 May 2026

Leaving a gift in your Will, which is also known as legacy giving, plays a vital role in the continued success of the College; legacy gifts are one of the most powerful and thoughtful ways in which alumni, friends and supporters can be part of the College’s future. This annual lunch and day programme is held to thank and recognise the College's Legators - those who have included King’s College in their Will.

Ahead of the event, we encourage guests to take a few moments to read through the logistics document.

Please note that quiet period is currently taking place in College. We politely ask you to keep noise to a minimum during your visit to allow students taking exams to properly prepare and rest.

Event Programme

Following registration in the Chetwynd Room, where light refreshments will be served, guests are invited to join Head Gardener Steven Coghill for a tour of the College grounds, with a particular focus on the Xu Zhimo Garden. Lunch will then be served, followed by a music recital performed by King’s Music student Aisling Martin. Light refreshments will be available after the recital, before the afternoon concludes with an academic talk by Research Fellow Ruiyi Zhu. If you would like to stay on afterwards, doors will open for Evensong at 5.15pm with seating reserved for College Legators.

You can view the full programme here.

Wine Auction

A wine auction will take place prior to the King Henry VI Circle Lunch. The College will auction the cellar of former Fellow Alan Bilsborough (KC 1962) from 9.30am in the Audit Room. Places will be limited. The proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Supplementary Exhibition Fund to aid student hardship. For more information, please view the logistics document. The catalogue of sales can be viewed here.

Parking

A limited number of parking spaces will be available in the King's College car parks, located off of West Road. If you would like to request a parking permit and have not already done so, please contact events@kings.cam.ac.uk.

Legacy Giving

Whether you are an existing College Legator or someone who is thinking about leaving a gift in their Will to King's College Cambridge, we would be delighted to hear from you.
