In the turbulent seventeenth century, Benjamin Whichcote was Provost of King’s, Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, and leader of the Cambridge Platonists who argued that reason should ‘sweeten’ religion. He held liberal views in a time of religious extremism. The Dean of Chapel will reflect on the lessons of Provost Whichcote, described as "an exceedingly wise head in piloting the College through the difficult waters of civil wars."

Visitors may queue from 10am. The Chapel doors will open at 10.15 to allow the service to start promptly.

Members of the public should enter via the Front Gate on King's Parade. Members of the College should follow the signs to the designated entrance.
