Student Access and Support Initiative (SASI)

In 2018 we launched our major Student Access and Support Initiative (SASI), to transform our access and outreach activity and put in place a range of innovative programmes aimed at helping students from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to get to King’s, and be fully supported once here.

The earlier cohorts benefitting from SASI are now graduating, often with Firsts. They take their King’s experience into the widest range of career paths, and many go on to further graduate level study and research.

A gift to the Student Access and Support Initiative will help us strengthen and expand the transformative programmes the College can provide - from post-offer, pre-A level exam mentoring and tutoring to helping offer-holders prepare for life and study at Cambridge, and additional financial help when needed - and ensure that the work to improve equality of access and opportunity can continue.

The generosity of King’s has been incredible. Never doubt that giving to student hardship funds makes a difference. It makes all the difference in the world – thank you.
