Rylands Art Prize 2026

This art prize is open to students and Staff of the College and in memory of Dr G.H.W. Rylands (Fellow 1927-1999). 

Entries from any undergraduates, postgraduates and members of staff are invited for the Rylands Art Competition 2026. The judges will award prizes up to £1,000. Entries should be works of visual art. A note about the media should be given. Only one entry per person is permitted unless there is a clear connection between pieces. We intend that all entries will be exhibited in the Large Art Room from Thursday 5th February until at least Monday 16th February 2026. 

Entries should be presented ready for display in the Art Rooms. We welcome video and multi-media entries, provided they are viewable via the internet (e.g., on Vimeo). If your work takes the form of an installation or performance, please contact Alex Massouras in advance. Entries should be submitted to the Large Art Room at the top of Staircase A on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, between 1pm and 5pm. Video and multi-media submissions may be made via email with appropriate links for viewing (no attachments please).
