Tom White (1938 – 2026)

The College is sad to announce the death of Dr Tom White on 15 July 2026.

Tom had been a Fellow of King’s since 1976, when he joined the University as Lecturer in Physics. He was made a Life Fellow in 2001. 

He will be remembered for his wide interests – music and long-distance walking among them – beyond his academic speciality, and for his longstanding loyalty to and love of King’s.

An obituary will be published in due course.
