Cambridge Mobilytics
2025 Winner
Cambridge Mobilytics
Cambridge Mobilytics aggregates underutilised charging data from Electric Vehicle infrastructure operators across Europe to create valuable predictive models and market intelligence. Despite 65,000+ daily EV charging sessions in the UK alone, this data sits unused in isolated databases because firms can't develop accurate models alone and won't share data due to inconsistent formats and competitive concerns, hence the need for a third party to aggregate, standardise and monetise this data.
The company acts as a trusted intermediary, purchasing and standardising charging data to offer clean datasets for car manufacturers and financial institutions, predictive models for availability forecasting and ROI predictions accessible via API and web portal, and real-time industry metrics through subscription analytics.
Founder Eliott Fournet has years of e-mobility software engineering experience, having led development for e-Mobility infrastructure and apps with over 25,000 active users. When it was placed second in the KEP, Cambridge Mobilytics had already secured detailed data from 10,000+ charging sessions and built relationships with key industry players including Stations-e and Ant Group, both expressing immediate interest in becoming clients. The e-mobility market was projected to grow from $257.2B (2023) to $441.4B (2032), yet at the time of winning, no data-sharing service operated at scale in this space.
Progress - 6 months on
In the six months since winning the competition, Cambridge Mobilytics developed two products now being tested by five EV charging providers across the UK. An overview can be found at cambridge-mobilytics.com.
1. Site Selection Tool (DC-focused CPOs): cambridge-mobilytics.co.uk Automates location analysis using traffic, demographics, points of interest, historical usage data, and grid feasibility data, enabling end-to-end site selection. It is undergoing testing by major charging networks, with discussions underway for a white-label version.
2. Automated Lead Generation (AC-focused providers): cambridge-mobilytics.ai Identifies business locations with parking but no EV charging yet (e.g. hotels), ranks them by relevance, and provides decision-maker contacts at these businesses. Two partners are onboard, helping to develop destination charging in Europe.
Other milestones:
- Selected as main stage speaker at the EV Charge Show (NEC Birmingham), which generated most current testers
- In discussions with a European software provider about continent-wide integration
Next steps: The Founder relocated to the US in January 2026, where the lead generation tool already works seamlessly. The Prize funding has been essential in allowing him to iterate and find products that companies would pay for. The SPARK incubator at King's was also instrumental in this process.
