Chapel closures and amended opening hours

North Gate of the Chapel

The Chapel is occasionally closed to the public because of recordings, concerts and private ceremonies. Please check the dates with amended opening times below or contact the Chapel Office before you visit (tourism@kings.cam.ac.uk; 01223 331212). 

During the Easter Term, which is the examination period in Cambridge, the grounds are closed to the public but the Chapel remains open.

If the date you are checking is not listed below this means that normal Chapel opening times apply.

May 2013

  • Wednesday 1 May - entry 0930 until 11.30am
  • Saturday 4 May - entry 9.30am until 3pm
  • Friday 31 May - entry 12 noon until 3.30pm

June 2013

  • Saturday 8 June - entry 11.30am until 3.15pm
  • Saturday 15 June - entry 1.45pm until 3.15pm
  • Tuesday 18 June - entry 9.30am until 4pm
  • Wednesday 19 June - entry 9.30am until 3.30pm
  • Wednesday 26 June - entry 9.30am until 12.45pm and then open again 2.30pm until 3.30pm

July 2013

  • Monday 1 July - entry 9.45am until 4pm
  • Friday 5 July - entry 12.30pm until 3.30pm
  • Saturday 6 July - entry 9.30am until 1.15pm
  • Tuesday 9 July - entry 9.30am until 1pm
  • Wednesday 10 July - entry 1pm until 2.30pm
  • Thursday 11 July - entry 9.30am until 2pm
  • Saturday 20 July - entry 9.30am until 3.45pm
  • Sunday 21 July - entry 12.30pm until 4.30pm
  • Saturday 27 July - entry 9.30am until 3.45pm
  • Sunday 28 July - entry 9.30am until 3.45pm

September 2013

  • Saturday 7 September - entry 9.30am until 3.45pm
