Library

King's College Library has been in continuous existence since the foundation of the College in 1441. As well as preserving many rare book and manuscript treasures, the Library serves the current needs of undergraduate, graduate and senior members of the College.
The library is open to members of the College and to visitors by appointment only. The library holds approximately 130,000 items. The books on open access are for teaching and reference use; there are also stored collections of rare books and manuscripts. Please note that the library is closed to visitors during a six week period before and during examinations in May/June each year.
