Applying to King's

Cambridge is a collegiate university, which means that all students are members of both a College and the University in addition to a Department or Faculty. This being said, applications to Cambridge are handled by individual Colleges. When students make an application to King’s they can be sure that great care will be taken throughout the entire admissions process to fully assess all the applications received, and time will be taken to review each of these in order for us to gain a good understanding of an applicant’s background, interests and academic potential.

Although the application process can seem intimidating, the process is actually much more straightforward than you might think. The resources in the pages below will provide you with everything you will need to know about making an application to King’s. If you find you still have questions after reading these pages, we would suggest that you get in touch with our admissions team. Likewise, if you are a potential applicant who has limited support from your school or home life and would like some advice on making your application, we would also be very happy help! You can send an email to undergraduate admissions

Important changes to pre-registration required admissions assessment dates for 2023:

All applicants for courses with a CAAT administered assessment must be registered by no later than 29 September 2023. Late registration will not be possible and may result in the application being invalid. Applicants should speak to their school or college to ask if they can administer the assessment. If this is not possible, there are a number of open centres around the world. Please make contact as soon as possible in case the preferred centre is full.

The CAAT administered admissions assessments will take place earlier this year. BMAT, NSAA, TMUA and ENGAA will take place on 18 October 2023.

For candidates applying to Law, the deadline for taking the LNAT is 16th October 2023.
