The political economy of vocational education and apprenticeship training. Imperfect competition and price formation in training markets. Discontent and collective action in long-duration work-based training: apprentices and graduate student employees in Britain, Germany, Switzerland and the USA. Collective bargaining, pay structure and training in post-war metalworking in Britain and Germany.
