Last Night features King's members

Gerald Finley
Gerald Finley is one of the King's alumni taking part in the Last Night of the Proms

Gerald Finley, baritone and former Choral Scholar at King's, will be appearing in the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall on 8 September this year. He will sing Stanford's Songs of the Sea and Richard Rodger's "Soliloquy" from Carousel at the concert, which is the culmination of one of the world's biggest classical music festivals, and is broadcast live on radio and television.

Finley will be joined at the Prom by Sir Andrew Davis, former King's Organ Scholar, who is the conductor for the evening. A familiar face at the Proms, Sir Andrew has conducted there since 1971. Speaking to the BBC in 2014, he said of the festival "The Proms is something very special and it's very British, and it gets idiotically British on the Last Night".

Assistant Director of Music, Ben Parry, is also involved this year at three different concerts, including the First Night, where he is working with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
