King's Voices Celebrates Anniversary
King's Voices, the College's mixed-voice Choir established in October 1997, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary at a special Evensong on Saturday 13 January. The choir, directed by Asssistant Director of Music Ben Parry, will sing compositions by current and former members of King's Voices, including King's student Joshua Ballance and alumna Errollyn Wallen. C H H Parry's I was glad and Dyson in D will also feature in the service, which is open to the public and begins at 6pm.
Ben Parry and former Director Simon Brown will share the conducting, and founding Director John Butt will play an organ voluntary at the end of the service. The Choir will be accompanied during the service by the current King's Voices Organ Scholar, Ellie Carter, and will be joined by alumni of the choir.
