Carols Services Booklet Available Online
In line with a recent but much appreciated tradition, King’s has uploaded the orders of service for its two big carols services.
The Dean, The Revd Dr Stephen Cherry, said, ‘Although some people confuse the televised ‘Carols from Kings’, which is prerecorded and broadcast on BBC Two, with ‘A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols’, which is broadcast live on radio stations around the world, they are very different occasions; though fundamentally, of course, they tell the same story.
‘A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols’ will be celebrated for the 100th time at King’s this Christmas Eve; ‘Carols from King’s’, recorded at King's a week ago, will be broadcast shortly afterwards at 5:45pm.
Members of the public are warmly invited to attend on Christmas Eve. You should come to College from 7.30am on the day with some photo ID. About 500 tickets will be available. You are also warmly invited to attend the Holy Communion Service at 11.00am on Christmas Day, for which the College gates open at 9.30am and the Chapel doors at 10.30am.
