Seven short films feature the Chapel stained glass

Crucifixion scene in stained glass

Seven short films featuring the Chapel’s stained glass windows will be released over Easter on the King's website.

The films will show the Easter story as depicted in the stained glass, accompanied by a piece of music composed by King’s alumnus Francis Grier (b.1955). Grier's piece is called Sword in the Soul, and is a seven-movement Passiontide sequence for choir, organ and cello. It is sung by Philharmonia Voices, with soloists David Goode (organ) and Sarah Suckling (cello).

The films will be released one by one on the Sword in the Soul page during Holy Week, starting on Palm Sunday 29 March and culminating on Easter Saturday, 4 April.

Email alerts: If you would like to receive an email alert as each film is released please enter your email on the Philharmonia Voices website.

The films are part of the Chapel 500th celebrations.
