The BBC is showing a documentary on Christmas Day to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Carols from King's.

Unlike the other Christmas service from King's, A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, Carols from King's is a televised and pre-recorded service. Traditionally it is broadcast on Christmas Eve in the early evening on BBC Two.

The documentary is narrated by Juliet Stevenson, who takes us through the history of the service from 1954 to the present. The programme will be shown on BBC Two on Christmas Day at 1.45pm and repeated on Boxing Day at 10.40am, again on BBC Two.
