The King's College A team won the Inter-College Cup in the Chariots of Fire race on Sunday (22 September).

The six runners completed the race in 01:01:06 and came eighth overall. The King's B Team came second amongst the college teams.

Dr Julian Griffin, who organised the teams, said: "What is really nice about this race is that the teams from King's consisted of all parts of college - undergraduates, fellows, staff and postgraduates. King's A put in an excellent performance and it's nice to see King's B not far behind!"

The Chariots of Fire race is an annual relay race that follows a scenic 1.7 mile circuit of central Cambridge. It passes over the River Cam four times and includes a stretch along the Back Lawn of King's and down to the Back Gate.

For the full results board and more details about the race see the Chariots of Fire website.

Congratulations to the King's runners who took part!
