The 2013-14 Concerts at King's programme has just been published. Highlights include the renowned countertenor Andreas Scholl singing Purcell and Britten on 18 November, and the baritone and former King's Choral Scholar Gerald Finley singing in Duruflé's Requiem on 25 October.
Gerald has performed at the world’s major opera and concert venues, and his recent awards include a Grammy for Best Opera Recording 2012 (Dr. Atomic from the Met) and Best Solo Vocal Recording for his CD of Britten Songs (Hyperion) at the 2011 Classic FM Gramophone Awards. He will be singing in Wagner's Parsival this December at the Royal Opera House.
The season starts on 29 September with internationally acclaimed baroque violinist Rachel Podger playing works by Bach, Biber and Tartini. She will be signing copies of her new CD after the concert.
