This Sunday (4 March) the innovative string quartet Eclectica! plays jazz, classical and Latin music in the Hall. Eclectica! redefines the string quartet by replacing the second violin and the viola with two guitars. Each musician is a noted soloist in their own right:

Lizzie Ball, violin
Bernard Gregor-Smith, cello
Nicolas Meier, guitar
Pete Oxley, guitar

The quartet mostly plays music from the Americas, including tangos from Argentina, sambas from Brazil, standards from North America and works by Joni Mitchell from Canada. They also play classical and Eastern European music.

The concert starts at 8.30pm and tickets are available on the door: £15, £10 (restricted view), £5 (students).
