Croatian audiences have given the Choir an enthusiastic reception at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival.

The Choir has just sung two concerts at the Festival. On Sunday (19 August) they sang a programme of English sacred music in the historic Rector's Palace Atrium in Dubrovnik. Yesterday they sang Mozart's Requiem and works by Handel at the city's Dominican Monastery.

For the Mozart concert they were accompanied by the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, and soloists Evelin Novak (soprano), Diana Haller (mezzo-soprano), Ivan Turšić (tenor) and Goran Jurić (bass).

The Dubrovnik Times said the audience at the first concert 'had an evening that they won’t forget for some time; glorious voices in stunning surroundings'. According the Festival website, the Choir's performances 'visibly thrilled' the audiences, who were impressed by the 'top performance' of the choristers. The concerts ended with 'long-lasting applause', followed by encores.

You can find more pictures of the concerts on the Dubrovnik Summer Festival website. For forthcoming concerts by the Choir see Choir concerts and tours.
