Memorial Service for Frank Kermode

There will be a Memorial Service for Frank Kermode in King's College Chapel on Saturday 7 May at 2.15pm.

Professor Sir Frank Kermode (1919-2010) was one of the most respected literary critics of his generation. In 1974 he was elected a Fellow of King's and became King Edward VII Professor of English Literature at Cambridge University. He remained a Fellow of King's until 1986.

He was elected an Honorary Fellow of the College in 1987 and died last August at his home in Cambridge (see the previous news article).
