King's student rows in the Goldie crew

Andrew Viquerat

King's student Andrew Viquerat is rowing in the Goldie crew at the Boat Race tomorrow. The Goldie crew is Cambridge's reserve team, and they will race their Oxford counterparts Isis half an hour before the main boat race begins.

Andrew was one of only 22 rowers selected from across the University to be in the Cambridge University squad. He is the first King's student to be selected since Sir Adrian Cadbury in 1952, and he hopes to start a stronger rowing tradition at King's. He said, "I very much hope to see more King's members trialling with CUBC [Cambridge University Boat Club] in the near future."

Andrew is from Sydney, Australia, and is currently doing a PhD in Engineering. He will rowing in the 6 seat of Goldie tomorrow, so do cheer him on!

See the Boat Race website for details of tomorrow's events.
