Carl makes his way down

The Head Porter, Carl Hodson, abseiled down the tower of Great St Mary's Church on Saturday. Carl was one of 40 volunteers who abseiled 114ft (35m) down the university church to raise money for Action for Children.

The event raised over £5,000. Action for Children's Laura Hanratta said: 'The Great St Mary’s Abseil was a huge success. All the people that took part raised a phenomenal amount of sponsorship for a worthwhile cause and they all had a brilliant day.'
