An evening of Liszt's letters and music

Odyssey of Love flyer

On Sunday 30 October you can enjoy an evening of Liszt's letters and music. The internationally renowned pianist Lucy Parham will play some of Liszt's most impassioned works, whilst actors Harriet Walter and Henry Goodman will read some of his more colourful letters.

The event is called 'Odyssey of Love' and portrays Liszt's relationship with the two most important women in his life: the aristocratic free-thinker Marie d'Agoult, and the intellectual, cigar-smoking Princess Carolyne von Sayn Wittgenstein. The event also marks the bicentenary of Liszt's birth - he was born on 22 October 1811. Download the flyer.

Tickets cost £16 (£10 restricted view, £5 students on the door only), and are available from the Shop at King’s, King's Parade, Cambridge (tel: 01223 769 340). The event starts at 8.30pm in the Hall at King's.
