Choir sings in Canterbury Cathedral
King's College Choir is singing in Canterbury Cathedral on Friday 27 May. Accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Choir will perform the UK premiere of Arvo Pärt 's new large-scale work, Adam's Lament.
The programme will also include Pärt’s exquisite Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten and works by Britten, Gorecki, Mortensson and Maw. The concert is part of the Sounds New 2011 Contemporary Music Festival, and will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3. You can find more details and ticketing information on the Sounds New website.
