Carols from King's booklet now available

The Choir walking in procession

The service booklet for Carols from King's is now available. Carols from King's is a pre-recorded, televised service that is broadcast by BBC2 on Christmas Eve. It was recorded yesterday in the Chapel.

As usual, the service included a mixture of much-loved carols (Once in royal David’s city, O Little town of Bethlehem, Silent Night) and lesser-known carols, such as a traditional Cornish carol and a carol specially-commissioned for the Choir in 2000.

The service booklet also includes the readings chosen from the Bible and from the poetry of Robert Southey, UA Fanthorpe and TS Eliot.

Please note: This service is not the same as A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, which is broadcast live on radio on Christmas Eve.
