April's Archive of the month shows some of the letters sent home by Stephen Betts Dalston. Betts Dalston came to King's in 1921 and wrote regularly to his mother whilst he was student here.
The letters give an insight into a student's life in the 1920s. He describes his digs, his stress at the prospect of exams and his thoughts about his career path after college.
He also describes his leisure time: seeing friends, going to the theatre, playing the penny whistle and learning to figure skate.
