Archive of the month: Alpine peaks and parasites

A painting of Aiguille du Peigne, Chamonix (France)

November's Archive of the month looks at the paintings of George Salt. Salt was a Fellow of King's and an entomologist who travelled remote parts of the world to research insect parasites.

He was a member of The Alpine Club in London and in later life he painted watercolours based on photographs of things he'd seen in the mountains.

Most of the watercolours are landscapes, but many are of the insects he saw on his travels. See the latest Archive of the month.
