New book about King's
A new book called A Book of King's has just been published. It is written by over 40 contributors, including Martin Bell, Lord Clarke, Simon Hoggart, Michael Craig-Martin, Tam Dalyell MP, Tony Judt and current Fellows of King's.
The contributors were invited to write about their experience of King's. Some have written about their time at the college, as students or Fellows. Others explain how people, events, or things learned here made a difference to their later lives. It goes further than any publication has ever done to capture the unique nature of the college.
The articles were collated by TV producer and author Karl Sabbagh, and the book is illustrated with photographs by Martin Parr, one of Britain's leading photographers.
You can buy the book from The Shop at King's, King's Parade, Cambridge (01223 769342; shop [at] kings [dot] cam [dot] ac [dot] uk) or order online from the Friends' website.
The book has been available to pre-order since March, and was launched on Wednesday 3 November at the Royal Society.
