Modern Middle Eastern history

Khaled Fahmy works on the social and cultural history of the modern Middle East, with particular emphasis on nineteenth century Egypt. His specific areas of interests are the history of law and of medicine, and the intersections of these two fields, i.e. forensic medicine and legal torture. He also has an interest in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict, with specific emphasis on the 1967 Six Day War
