Due to the evolving situation regarding COVID-19 and the impact on social gatherings and travel, we have decided to postpone this year’s 50th Anniversary Reunion.

College reunions are special occasions that give Members an opportunity to reconnect with old friends back at King’s, where we hope you had many happy memories. While it’s not certain what the situation will be by late September, our expectation is that it wouldn’t be possible to give you that experience while keeping in line with social distancing restrictions. We are therefore proposing that this year’s class come back to College on 24 September 2021 instead, for a larger joint 50th anniversary celebration with the class of 1971. We very much hope that by this time we will be able to give you a traditional King’s reunion experience.

In the absence of the face-to-face reunions in September we are currently working on a programme of digital events to be held as part of the alumni weekend programme. We know this can’t replace being in Cambridge, but we hope you’ll enjoy them, and that they will give Members from around the world the opportunity to take part. We look forward to sharing more details in due course.

Some of you may be keen to connect with other Members through online video chats, so that you can still digitally get together in 2020! Please do get in touch if you are interested in organising online group chats or events (e.g. on Zoom or Teams) for your classmates. In line with GDPR, the Development Office would be happy to assist you in forwarding invitations.

We are so sad not to be seeing you in person this September, but we very much hope to see you back in King’s for your reunion in 2021, if not sooner.
