King's members recognised in Birthday Honours

Three King's members have been recognised in the 2020 Queen's Birthday Honours List

Kofi Adjepong-Boateng CBE

Our warm congratulations to the three King's members who have been recognised in the 2020 Queen's Birthday Honours:

Graduate student Kofi Adjepong-Boateng (KC 2019) has been awarded a CBE for services to Philanthropy. Kofi is Chairman of the Economic Justice Programme at the Open Society Foundation, and is currently pursuing a PhD on the formation of the Bank of Ghana, supervised by Professor Gareth Austin. 

Alumnus Ian Collard (KC 1994) has been awarded an OBE for services to British foreign policy and to national security. Ian was appointed the Deputy Ambassador at the British Embassy in Kabul in March 2020 and has previously served as the Ambassador to Panama and Head of Counter Terrorism at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Alumnus Stephen Layton (KC 1985) has been awarded an MBE for services to Classical Music. Stephen was Organ Scholar at King's under Sir Stephen Cleobury and is now a renowned conductor and Director of Music at Trinity College, Cambridge.
