This article argues that the common experiences of rare disease patients have impacts upon the way in which their psychiatric care should be offered and managed, and that sensitivity and understanding surrounding these issues should be considered a necessary part of effective care for rare disease patients.

God-Curious: Asking Eternal Questions

The Dean of King’s Stephen Cherry, has this week published a book intended to encourage sixth formers (and others) to consider studying theology. Called God-Curious: Asking Eternal Questions, the book came out of Stephen’s observation that, ‘on the whole, introductory books about theology are not as interesting or attractive as the subject itself.’

John Bernard Bury (1917-2017)

Pioneering art historian John Bernard Bury (born 1917) passed away on 18th January 2017, at Wimbledon, aged 99. John studied at Balliol College, Oxford, where he read modern history (1935-38).

As part of the College’s Strategic Infrastructure Programme, Bodley’s Court will be re-roofed in 2018 in order to replace the stone slating which has delaminated since being laid in 1893.

Krishna Kumar

King's alumnus and College Research Associate, Dr. Krishna Kumar, has won the Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) Fellowship for 2017. Krishna was selected as one of eighteen SSI Fellows and is the Institute’s first Fellow of Engineering.
